Spanish properties snapped up fast at Club La Costa Moscow show.
Wealthy Russians have been injecting new life into the Spanish property market recently and this latest trend shows no sign of slowing down, according to leading resort developers Club La Costa Resorts & Hotels.
The company's real estate division, CLC Estates, recently held a property exhibition at its Moscow headquarters, to showcase its latest property developments to Russian buyers. A Russian-speaking representative from Spanish law firm Martin Echevarria & Associates was also at hand to offer advice on buying in Spain. Many who attended were Russian Club La Costa timeshare members, many of them keen to buy a slice of the Spanish lifestyle for themselves.
Paul Smith, Director of CLC Estates, says, "Our Russian clients are looking for high end Spanish properties, primarily as a lifestyle investment. They are very discerning buyers, so quality of build, amenities and good views are prerequisites. Buying a property on a resort means you have all the facilities you need onsite, as well as 24 hr security and concierge service."
CLC Estates' latest luxury development, Rancho Santa Fe (30 townhouses with spacious gardens and rooftop jacuzzis) was particularly well received, and there is already a waiting list for the next phase of this bijou development that overlooks the Spanish coastline near Marbella.
"Russians have had a long love affair with the Costa del Sol," Paul Smith added, "they were coming to southern Spain long before many Europeans adopted this region as their second home."
Commenting on the success of the show, he added, "Obviously it's a good time to buy in Spain right now, so we're not only seeing individual properties being snapped up, we've had some purchasers looking for two or three holiday homes, buying a handful of homes while "the price is right". Another popular area is the southwest coast of Turkey, near Bodrum, where our newest off-plan development, Adonis Residences & Club offers a range of five-star facilities  from first line beach views to an open air cinema."
